DataPass - Internal Guide
This guide helps business users set up and manage DataPass for external partners. We also have documentation for external partners, refer to the DataPass Documentation for external partners.
What is DataPass?
DataPass allows our external partners (like lead generation companies) to send customer information directly to our quote forms. This eliminates the need for customers to re-enter their information, creating a smoother experience and higher conversion rates.
Two versions are available: - DataPassV1 - DataPassV2
Setting Up DataPassV1
Step 1: Request Encryption Key Setup
When a new partner wants to use DataPassV1, follow these steps:
-
Navigate to Publisher Setup
- Go to the Publisher page in Publisher Portal(https://publisher.delty.com/vendors) to find the publisher you're creating the key for
- Click on the specific publisher you want to set up DataPass for
- Click on the "Data Pass" tab to access DataPassV1 setup options
-
Configure DataPassV1 Settings

Fill out the following fields in the Data Pass tab:
-
Data Pass Name:
- Give the DataPass a descriptive name, try to be as specific as possible
- Example: "PublisherName_Auto_Insurance_DataPass"
-
Query String Param:
- Enter a parameter name under Query String Param
- This needs to be agreed upon with the publisher beforehand
- Common example:
payload - Coordinate with publisher to ensure they use the same parameter name
-
Encryption Algorithm:
- Select AES-128-ECB from the dropdown
- This is the required encryption method for DataPassV1
-
Secret Key:
- Enter a plain text word under 8 characters
- The system will automatically generate an encrypted key and store it
- Important: Give the publisher this plain text secret (not the encrypted version)
-
Active:
- Make sure to mark the DataPass configuration as Active
- This enables the DataPass functionality for the publisher
Setting Up DataPassV2
Setup Process
DataPassV2 setup is much simpler since no encryption key is needed. Refer to DataPass Documentation for external partners for more information.
